How to create 'Numeric Type Questions'

In a Numeric Type question, you specify a numeric value as the correct answer and define an allowable error margin. If a learner’s response falls within this error margin, they will receive points based on the grade percentage defined for that option.

Below are the steps to follow in order to create a Numeric Type Question:

  1. Navigate to EDITOR > LEARNING AND KNOWLEDGE > Questions and Quizzes > Question Bank.
  2. Click on the 'Add New Question' button at the top right corner.

  1. On the 'Create new Question' select the 'Question Type' as ‘Numeric’.

  1. Enter your question in the ‘Question’ field.

  1. In the Answer field, provide the correct numeric value. Then specify the Error Margin. For example, if the correct answer is 50 and you set an error margin of 1, participant responses between 49 and 51 will be considered within the acceptable range.
  2. Define the Grade percentage corresponding to that range. For instance, setting a grade of 100 will award full points to responses within the error margin, while a lower percentage can be used for partial credit.
