How many learners have submitted their responses?
You can find this information in the Active Learners metric on the AI Coaching Dashboard.
Where to look:
- Navigate to the Coaching Dashboard
- Look at the "Overview Analysis" tab
- Find the Active Learners metric in the top section
What it shows: The Active Learners number displays the total count of users who have submitted at least one roleplay attempt during your selected time period.
Example: If the metric shows "342" with "+10% vs last quarter," this means 342 learners have submitted responses in the current timeframe.
Important note: This count only includes learners who have submitted at least one attempt. Users who logged in but didn't submit anything are not counted as Active Learners.
What else can you track on this dashboard?
In addition to the number of active learners, the same dashboard also shows two other key engagement metrics:
Avg Attempts
What it shows: The average number of roleplay submissions per active learner during your selected time period.
Example: If the metric shows "4.8" with "+7% vs last quarter," this means each active learner has submitted an average of 4.8 roleplay attempts in the current timeframe.
Why this matters: This tells you how engaged your learners are with practice. Higher numbers indicate learners are committed to improving through repeated practice. Research shows learners typically need 3-5 attempts to reach proficiency in most skills.
Avg Session
What it shows: The average time a learner spends completing one AI roleplay attempt.
Example: If the metric shows "8.10 min" with "+4% vs last quarter," this means the typical roleplay session lasts 8 minutes and 10 seconds.
Why this matters: This helps you understand whether learners are taking enough time to thoughtfully engage with the roleplay. Most effective sessions range from 7-12 minutes—enough time for meaningful interaction while remaining efficient compared to traditional 30-minute sessions.
Adjusting the timeframe
All three metrics update based on your selected time period:
- Click the time filter buttons (30D, 90D, or calendar icon for custom date range) at the top of the dashboard
- All metrics will update to reflect activity within your selected period
- The percentage comparisons show change versus the previous period of equal length
