How do I track improvements for multiple role-plays at the same time?
You can track improvement across multiple roleplays simultaneously by using the Filters feature on the Coaching Dashboard. This allows you to view combined performance data for any selection of coachings you choose.
How to select multiple roleplays
Step 1: Open the Filters panel
- Look in the top-right corner of the Coaching Dashboard
- Click the Filters button
- A filter dialog box will open
Step 2: Select your coachings
- In the filter dialog, find the Coaching dropdown under "Coaching Filters"
- Click the dropdown to expand the list of available coachings
- You'll see checkboxes next to each coaching name (e.g., "Price Objection Handling," "Objection Handling Coaching," "Sample sales pitch coaching")
- Check the boxes next to all the coachings you want to track
- You can select as many coachings as you need—there's no limit
- The dropdown will show how many coachings you've selected (e.g., "2 selected")
Step 3: Apply the filters
- Click the Apply Filters button at the bottom of the dialog
- The dashboard will refresh to show combined data across all selected coachings
What happens next:
- All three dashboard tabs (Overview Analysis, Competency & Skills Insights, and Participation Insights) will update to show aggregated data from your selected coachings
- The "Applied Filters" section at the top of the dashboard will display your active selections
- All metrics, charts, and insights will now reflect the combined performance across all selected roleplays
Example use case:
If you select "Price Objection Handling" and "Objection Handling Coaching," the dashboard will show:
- Combined Active Learners from both coachings
- Average scores across both roleplays
- Skill improvement percentages combining data from both scenarios
- Total training hours saved from both coachings combined
Additional filtering options
Beyond selecting multiple coachings, the Filters panel offers several other ways to customize your dashboard view. You can use these filters individually or combine them to drill down into specific segments of your data.
Coaching Type Filter
What it does: Filters the dashboard to show only specific types of coaching activities.
Available options:
- Self Practice
- Presentation
- Live Coaching
- Conversational
- (Note: The options you see depend on what coaching types are available to learners under your account. For example, if no certifications are set up, Certification Mode won't appear)
When to use it: Use this filter when you want to compare performance across different coaching formats or focus on one specific type of practice.
Business Unit & Country Filters
What they do: These standard organizational filters let you view data for specific parts of your organization.
Business Unit:
- Select one or more business units
- The dashboard will show only learners and data from the selected business unit(s)
Country:
- Select one or more countries
- The dashboard will show only learners and data from the selected country/countries
When to use them: Use these filters to:
- Compare performance across different business units or regions
- Focus on a specific geographic market
- Prepare reports for regional leadership
- Identify regional training needs
Metatag Filters
Metatag filters are customizable organizational tags that let you segment your data in ways that match your company's structure. The specific metatag options available depend on your organization's setup.
Common metatag filters include:
Zone
- Filter by geographic zones or territories
- View performance for specific sales regions
Designation
- Filter by job role or level (e.g., Sales Rep, Senior Rep, Manager)
- Compare performance across different roles
Product Line
- Filter by product category or brand
- Track coaching effectiveness for specific products
Territory
- Filter by sales territory assignments
- Analyze performance at a granular geographic level
Therapeutic Area
- Filter by medical specialty or therapeutic focus (common in pharmaceutical sales)
- Track skill development within specific clinical areas
How metatags work:
- Some metatag categories are predefined, but the specific values are always customizable to match your organization
- Different organizations may see different metatag options based on their setup
- You can combine multiple metatag filters for very specific views
Combining filters for powerful insights
One of the most useful features is the ability to combine multiple filters to get highly specific views of your data.
Examples of combined filtering:
Example 1: Multiple coachings + specific region
- Select 3 objection handling coachings
- Select "North" zone
- Result: View how North learners are performing across all three objection handling scenarios
Example 2: Coaching type + business unit + country
- Select "Self Practice" coaching type
- Select "Commercial Sales" business unit
- Select "United States" country
- Result: Track self-directed practice effectiveness for US commercial sales teams
Example 3: Multiple coachings + therapeutic area + designation
- Select all product detailing coachings
- Select "Cardiovascular" therapeutic area
- Select "Manager" designation
- Result: Analyze how senior reps are mastering cardiovascular product presentations
How combined filters appear: When you apply multiple filters, the "Applied Filters" section at the top of the dashboard will display all active selections, making it easy to see exactly what data you're viewing.

Best practices for using filters
Start broad, then narrow:
- Begin with all your coachings selected to see the big picture
- Then apply specific filters to drill into problem areas or success stories
Use filters for comparisons:
- Apply one set of filters, note the metrics
- Clear and apply different filters
- Compare the results to identify disparities or opportunities
Save time with strategic filtering:
- If you regularly review the same segments (e.g., specific regions or product lines), you can quickly reapply those filter combinations
Share filtered views:
- When discussing specific segments with leadership, use filters to show relevant data
- The "Applied Filters" tag makes it clear what data is being displayed
Combine metatags for precision:
- Use multiple metatag filters together to analyze very specific populations
- Example: Zone + Therapeutic Area + Designation gives you highly targeted insights
What changes when filters are applied
When you apply filters, the entire dashboard updates across all three tabs.
Important: All AI-generated insights, recommendations, and analysis automatically adjust to reflect your filtered data, giving you targeted guidance for the specific segment you're viewing.
