How to create 'Multiple-Choice Questions'.
SmartWinnr offers versatile learning assessment capabilities, including the ability to create multiple-choice question that allow participants to select one or more correct answers from a set of options. This question format is widely used to evaluate knowledge accurately and efficiently within quizzes.
Below are the steps to create a multiple-choice question.
- Navigate to EDITOR > LEARNING AND KNOWLEDGE > Questions and Quizzes > Question Bank.
-
Click on the 'Add New Question' button at the top right corner.
- On the Create New Question screen, select Multiple Choice as the Question Type. Next, choose the appropriate scoring method—Default, Partial, or Graded.
- Use Default Scoring when the question has only one correct answer.
- Use Partial Scoring or Graded Scoring when the question has multiple correct answers.
- In Partial Scoring, the total score is distributed equally among all correct answer options.
- In Graded Scoring, you can assign a specific percentage of the total score to each correct answer option.

- Enter Question Title if needed. Enter your question in the ‘Question’ field.
-

For the question, you can have various elements like Simple Text, Videos, Images, Links, or Audio files.

Best Practices for Text Entry
When copying text from external sources such as Microsoft Word, avoid pasting directly into the question editor because hidden formatting characters may cause display issues, especially on mobile devices. To prevent this:
- First paste the text into a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad) to strip hidden formatting,
- Then copy the sanitized text into the SmartWinnr question field.
Feedback:
This section can be used to provide additional information or clarification related to the topic or concept covered in the question. The feedback will be available to learners after they complete the quiz.
Correct answer feedback will be shown to users who answer the question correctly, while incorrect answer feedback will be displayed to users who answer the question incorrectly.
