Create a Survey
Surveys in SmartWinnr allow you to collect structured feedback from participants quickly and effectively.
Follow the steps below to create a survey in SmartWinnr
- Log in to the SmartWinnr Admin Portal.
- Navigate to EDITOR > LEARNING AND KNOWLEDGE > Surveys.
- On the Surveys page, click the Add New Survey button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
This will open the survey creation page, where you can proceed with configuring the survey details and questions.

Type: Here is where you get to select if you want to create a Survey or a Survey Template.

Since we are creating a survey here select Type = Survey.

Question Visibility Type
This setting allows you to control how survey questions are displayed to participants.
You can choose one of the following visibility options:

All
Select this option to display all survey questions to users at the same time.

Individual
Select this option to present questions one at a time, allowing participants to view and answer each question individually.

Section Wise
Select this option to group questions into sections and display them to participants section by section. This is useful for longer surveys or surveys organized by topics.

Survey Title, Description, and Duration
After selecting the survey type and question visibility, proceed with the following details:

Title
Enter a clear and descriptive title that reflects the purpose of the survey.

Description
Provide a brief description to help participants understand the objective of the survey and any instructions they should follow.

Start Date and End Date
Specify the start and end dates to define the survey availability period. Participants will be able to access and respond to the survey only within this timeframe.
Ensure all details are accurate before moving on to add survey questions.
Response Settings
These settings allow you to control how survey responses are handled and shared.

Anonymous Response
Enable this option to allow participants to submit their survey responses anonymously. When selected, individual user identities will not be captured or displayed in the survey results.

Send Response to User
Enable this option to send an email to participants containing a copy of the responses they submitted for the survey.
Select the appropriate options based on your survey’s confidentiality and communication requirements.
Schedule a Reminder
This feature lets you set a reminder and schedule it to be delivered to the quiz takers about the status of the quiz.

Adding Sections to a Survey
If you select Question Visibility Type = Section Wise, you will have the option to organize your survey into sections.
To add sections to a survey:
- Click the Add Sections button under the Sections area.
- A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to define and configure the survey sections.
Adding Multiple Sections
In the Add Sections pop-up, you can create multiple sections as required.
- Click the Add button to add each new section.
- Repeat this process until all necessary sections have been added.
- Once you have completed adding all sections, click Submit to save the sections and proceed.
The added sections will now be available for assigning questions within the survey.
Adding Questions and Saving the Survey
After creating the sections, proceed to add questions to each section:
- Click Add Question within the respective section to include survey questions
Learn the types of questions that you can add to a survey.
- Select the appropriate question type based on your requirements.
Once all sections and questions have been added and reviewed, click Save New Survey.
This action will successfully create and save the survey, making it ready to be sent to participants as per the configured settings.
